Kinsale "Gourmet Capital"
of Ireland. Pier House B & B - Kinsales answer to Bed &
Breakfasts! Having had a week there I would recommend it to
anyone. With its newly designed rooms and simple decor - it
was a pleasure to stay in. There were four of us - two couples
staying. The rooms were so big, airy and bright with the most
beauitiful paintings. A very relaxing atmosphere. The B&B
has a "sea shore" theme running throughout - a very
smart idea! The ensuite - massive! So clean and fresh and the
jet showers - now thats what I call a wake up call!! The hospitality
was unconditional, this family would do anything for their costumers.
The knowledge that they had on this beauitiful town, one could
write a book on it! We were never bored! And if you felt like
a night in, the hot tub had your name on it! It was the most
peaceful rest I've had in a long time. Thank you Pier House
- We will be back! |

Pier House B&B - Fantastic!
We just spent a weekend in Kinsale in the most fantastic B&B
called Pier House. It has recently been renovated and is now
better than most hotels inside. Rooms feature sleigh beds,
beautiful indonesian furniture while the en-suites have slate
tile floors, black graite sink surrounds and terrific showers
with Gilchrest and Soames toiletries.
The piece de resistance will be the sauna and hot tub for
guests which they are currently finishing. The house if full
of fantastic artwork by la local artist and really is a pleasure
to stay in. The only drawback is that some rooms face the
main street which can be noisy at weekends - ask for a room
to the back of the house instead!

Amazing B&B in Kinsale,
Ireland
This is to suggest that you include the Pier House in your next
Guide to Ireland. We have just returned from a week in Ireland
staying in fancy musty castles, in the five-star Kilarney Park
Hotel and in Pier House. The Pier House was the highlight! It
is absolutely immaculate. The hosts, Pat and Ann Hegarty, are
warm and friendly and serve a hearty breakfast. But all that
is to be expected.
What is unexpected, is the elegant, upscale yet simple style
of each room. The art work on the walls is impressive. The wide
plank polished wooden floors, contrasted with fresh white walls,taupe
and burgundy accents, sweet soaps and sensual candles, all say
"Welcome Home". we loved the down comforter and crisp
white linen on the polished sleigh bed so much that my husband
tried to purchase the comforter. The dark polished furniture
in the bedrooms also gleam. The deep tub was pure luxury after
touring for so long. While we didn't try the outdoor hot tub,
it was nice to know it was there. Pier House is fabulous. It
is centrally located in a picturesque town on a harbour not
far from Cork. The Inn is walking distance from everything in
town. One entrance is at the harbour.
The other entrance is on a main street near a fabulous restaurant

among MANY NTO SO NICE B&B's in the area.
